For all those who like to flash their teeth.
We get to the bottom of things: the basis of excellent dentistry.
For some patients, the cause of many ills is down to lax diagnosis and neglect of preventive measures. This hurts everyone – because at the end of the day, you have to get the basics right. This is a fundamental principle that is firmly stuck in our heads – and it means that you won’t have to stick around in our dentist’s chair for any longer than necessary.
Diagnosis | Prevention | TreatmentRated as good by patients: the diagnosis.
Search and you will find it. And if you look really hard, you’ll find everything. That’s the way we approach things. We put your teeth and surrounding structures under the spotlight. We use cutting-edge and minimally invasive techniques to help us in our diagnostic work, such as digital X-ray equipment and laser-induced fluorescence. This enables us to uncover even the tiniest holes and deal with them preventatively before they even need treatment. It may sound highly technical and complicated, but it isn’t. Our most important instrument is our ability to explain things in a simple manner.
You never outgrow this phase: Prevention.
Preventive measures are not something that you need only as you get older. They should be taken seriously at every stage of life. We continuously tell our patients this: mothers who bring their small children in to help them get used to the surroundings. Pregnant women who are seeing changes in their mouths and need advice. Children and teenagers who, as a group, are unfortunately experiencing more tooth decay than ever before. Adults who suffer from periodontitis, some of whom have teeth that are teetering on the edge. And finally elderly people, whose priority is to keep their teeth. Prevention is so much better than cure.
For your well-being: specialisation is the crown of modern dentistry.
If a tooth needs particular treatment, our specialisation and task division approach really comes into its own. Each of our specialists has his or her own skill, ranging from paediatric dentistry to implantology and dentures.
Restorative treatment | Dentures | Implantology | Aesthetic dentistry | Gum treatment | Jaw muscles and temporomandibular joint | Root canal treatment | Paediatric dentistryFill(ing) with goodness: restorative treatment.
Amalgam is out. The Neutorgraben dental practice has done away with it and no longer uses it. However, many teeth still have amalgam fillings that are completely intact and cause no problems. We certainly swap opinions with our patients on this subject – but we don’t always swap the filling!
In terms of fillings, we rely on teeth-coloured materials made of plastic or ceramic. What we use depends on the patient and how big the filling is, how long it needs to remain in place and what the patient can afford.
Crowned by success: dentures.
There’s one thing that dentures definitely shouldn’t do: look like dentures. This is why we have high standards of the laboratory we work with: they have to crown our work and complement it perfectly. After all, the laboratory’s job is to continue our specialist work without making any compromises in the process. It is thus not surprising that we work with the top two laboratories in Nuremberg.
A gain, not a loss: implantology.
Losing a tooth is not exactly a stroke of good fortune. However, implantology can really help here – even if several teeth are missing, there’s a lot we can do. Implantology has a high overall success rate when it comes to treatment. We use advanced computer-aided techniques and implants from leading manufacturers. And our Masters of Science degrees in implantology afford us the highest possible level of qualification in this field. This means that you’ll soon be able to flash that smile of yours once again.
Looks good on you: aesthetic dentistry.
Beautiful teeth are the best business card you can have today. As such, more and more patients are focusing on their teeth and asking for aesthetic dental procedures. Whether you want a brighter tooth colour, teeth that have natural proportions or even gums that look consistent, we offer numerous procedures for making your mouth look more beautiful.
Using various bleaching methods, we can brighten darker teeth. With teeth that have imperfections or blemishes (such as age-related worn incisors), we can use ceramic veneer shells – making your teeth look great again and giving you good reason to smile. And so that nobody notices anything apart from your beautiful teeth, we only use teeth-coloured fillings and never amalgam. The most important thing for us is that you can only see one thing: nothing.
A rosy outlook: gum treatment.
Many patients know from their own experience that periodontitis is nothing to smile about. We can help using various methods tailored to the degree of disease present. The recipe for successful treatment has four stages. With conservative treatment, we remove deposits to encourage the gum to regenerate itself. With regenerative therapy, lost bones are artificially rebuilt. With resective treatment, we remove tissue so that the tooth can be cleaned more easily. Finally, we offer aesthetic gum correction, the results of which are great to look at.
Bite-sized work: jaw muscles and the temporomandibular joint.
For many patients, their jaw muscles and temporomandibular joint do not work as well as they could, causing headaches and neckache. Although this can be difficult to diagnose and treat, we want to do the best we can for each individual patient. Before you chew over the problem too much, come to us so that we can literally set everything in motion for you. In cooperation with a highly specialised laboratory, we can correct bite positions using braces or dentures. We also cooperate with selected physiotherapists and osteopaths who have a real feel for your jaw and neck problems.
We get to the root of the matter: root canal treatment.
Unfortunately, it is still the case that standard root canal treatments are unsuccessful in over 50% of cases. This means that affected patients tend to lose the tooth within five years. We don’t want to boast too much, but facts are facts: our own success rate is over 90%. Why is this? We get to the root of the problem. We combine our specialist qualifications with state-of-the-art treatment techniques and extremely useful optical systems. This in-depth work makes our success what it is.
We can also solve small problems: paediatric dentistry.
We treat your little ones with the greatest of care. After all, children need a dentist with a sure instinct more than any other patient group. This creates trust, something that our younger patients have a great sense of once they’ve finished their comfortable and pleasant treatment sessions.
